
The major extension program in the Department of Apparel, Housing and Resource Management is the Family Resource Management (FRM) program. The department works hand-in-hand with Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) agents throughout the state. These agents present a variety of educational programs to very diverse audiences.

Educational Programs Available:
Money Speaks: Helping teens and parents communicate about money
Provides teens and parents with information on many financial and communication topics ranging from writing a check, forming a spending plan, and buying a car to dealing with family conflict and improving family financial discussions. Regular and healthy family financial discussions can help teens prepare for the challenges they will face once they are on their own.
