Quesenberry

Peggy P. Quesenberry, Trainer/Instructor II, in the Department of Apparel, Housing, and Resource Management is being recognized for her commitment to, not only performing her position responsibilities at a level of excellence, but her continuous record of going well above and beyond her assigned tasks to meet the needs of students and faculty in the apparel program area. Working with her network of industry contacts, she has personally secured software packages and programs, fabric, and construction equipment. She has taken the initiative to write grants for her own professional development. She is committed to diversity and served as the Advisor to the VT Society of Black Student Designers and as a Charter member of the University Multicultural Fellows. Given high student enrollments and a shortage of apparel faculty, she has assumed teaching responsibilities in addition to her regular areas of responsibility. She has pursued needed training to maintain proficiency in her computer programming, patternmaking, and design skills. She has also been active in seeking developmental experiences through the Faculty Development Institute and the University Leadership Development program. Peggy is a hard working, motivated, dedicated, staff employee that represents us well and always has a positive can-do attitude.
