The Textile lab in the Apparel program is for research and teaching in product development and textile testing. This lab supports the graduate Apparel and Textiles Quality Analysis program and the undergraduate Apparel Product Development and Merchandising Management program. The lab is equipped with machines and instrumentation used for various textile testing based on the AATCC and ASTM national standard test methods. Many tests can be conducted in a conditioning room that controls the temperature and relative humidity. The following table lists the tests usually conducted in the Apparel program.
