Faculty member Dr. Doris Kincade authors three books
Dr. Doris H. Kincade, Professor in the Apparel program, is the author of three textbooks: Merchandising Mathematics: A Managerial Approach with co-authors Fay Y. Gibson and Ginger Woodard, Sewn Product Quality: A Management Perspective, and Merchandising of Fashion Products with co-author Fay Y. Gibson. The mathematics textbook is unique for its integration of management process with retail merchandising mathematical formulas. The quality book is the only textbook in the apparel field covering issues of quality management in the development and production of sewn products. The merchandising book is the only complete apparel merchandising textbook offered in clothing and textiles, covering merchandising across all aspects of the fiber, textile, apparel and retail complex. All three books are published by Pearson/Prentice-Hall.
