• Provides administrative and program support for undergraduate student programs (students and faculty advisors)
• Maintains student records
• Assists in registering students for courses and in solving graduation problems
• Serves as departmental contact person for undergraduate information and recruitment
• Serves as the administrative assistant for the Center for Real Life Kitchen Design Advisory Board.

• Provides administrative and managerial assistance to the Department Head, faculty, staff, and students.
• Provides guidance and supervision to clerical staff.
• Manages and coordinates all personnel appointments, payroll, and gives oversight to human resource matters within the department.
• Oversees and monitors daily operations of the department.
• Serves as department webmaster.
• Serves as administrative assistant for the Residential Property Management Advisory Board.
• Serves as the department staff coordinator for the Graduate School.
• Serves as the Building Emergency Coordinator for Wallace Hall.

• Performs advanced fiscal bookkeeping and accounting for the department
• Reviews, processes, controls manual and automated fiscal records and reports in relation to all department budgets: instruction, research, extension and VT Foundation

• Provides support and promotes instructional, research and outreach functions of the Department related to apparel product design, development, and analysis and market distribution; including instruction and training, management of research activities and projects, and service to the university and public provided through the department.

• Provides support for the instructional, research, and outreach functions of the Department by scheduling, coordinating, and maintaining the computer, textile research and teaching laboratories, the Oris Glisson Historic Costume and Textile Collection. Serves as Systems Administrator for the department.
